PROJECTOR

We have provided a projector system for you to watch content in the terrace area. PLEASE NOTE: The screen is only visible when it is dark outside!

We please ask that you do not play content too loudly, or too late at night!

Please also see the Sonos music information pages for playing content through the speakers. This page is concerned with the projector system only.

Projector System

In the rest of the villa there are generally two remotes with each screen - one for the TV and an 'app remote' for accessing the apps like Netflix. In the case of the projector there is just one 'app remote' that is used for everything, including powering the projector on and off, volume control, and accessing the apps.

Press the 'power' button to start the projector. The system should already be pointing at the pergola blind that becomes the projector screen. If the projector is folded up or pointing the wrong way then unfold it and point it at the screen blind.

Press the 'Home Screen' button to find apps that you can launch: use the round navigation pad and button to choose an app - TiviMate for live TV and the other apps for streaming content.

Audio

When you start playing content through the projector it should automatically switch the Sonos speaker system to play the audio for you. You can then control the volume directly from the projector remote control. You could also use the Sonos app or the wall remote to change volume.

If you cannot hear the audio from the television apps, this may be because someone was playing music directly using Sonos or simply that you need to turn the volume up on the projector remote control! If the volume is already up, keep pressing the small round circle button ('source') on the Sonos wall remote on the pillar in the terrace area until you hear the audio. Or if you have the Sonos app, press the word 'Curacao' at the top and choose 'Terrace Curacao' as your room. Then in the main app scroll down to 'Your Sources' and select 'TV'. See the 'Sonos Information' page if needed.

Troubleshooting

- If the image seems out of focus, press the 'REFOCUS' button on the remote control (see diagram above). This should autofocus.

- If the image isn't bright enough: ensure there are no lights switched on and that it is dark outside. The projector also has a 'performance' mode which has a brighter output but also a loud fan noise. The setting is accessed by pressing the Settings cogwheel button / icon > choose 'All Settings' > choose 'Display and Sound' > Choose 'Picture' > Choose 'Brightness Mode' > Choose 'Performance'. Be sure to switch back to 'Standard' mode after using this mode to avoid issues.

- If the projected image is an odd shape that does not match the rectangle of the screen blind, this means someone has moved the projector or changed settings. Try gently moving the projector so that is fits the screen blind. If there are still issues, as a last resort press the Settings cogwheel button / icon > choose 'All Settings' > choose 'Projector' > choose 'Keystone' > choose 'Manual Keystone Correction' then use the round navigation pad / select button on the remote control: move each corner of the screen to the desired position.
